You've all awaken the Groomzilla!

It's come to our attention that pretty much NO ONE noticed the little note in their invitation envelope that gave info on our gift registry. I'm sure if you guys look now, you'll see it in there. This is what it says if you can't find it:

"Due to the fact that we now live in Japan, we will not be accepting gifts at the wedding. We are registered at Target.com, so if you would like to have something sent to our address from there you can do that. Or, you may also donate to Tara & Dustin's Honeymoon/New Sofa fund."

Raise your hand if you didn't see this note. I knew it. I knew we should've made them bigger. And now grandmas are trying to get us comforter sets and crock pots. I'm sorry but if anyone brings a gift to the wedding we can't take it. We just won't have the room.If you go to Target.com and click on Club Wedd and then search for either Tara or Dustin Santillan, you will find our registry and it will send all the gifts to our house. That way Dustin will be less angry and frustrated. He's having a total groomzilla moment with this whole thing. Maybe because he's the one that had to print and cut about 100 of these little cards.

Pay closer attention to things people!

Thank you.

A good reason for divorce

I recently had another moment where I threw my wedding ring at Dustin. It happens. This time I was almost completely serious.

I don't think I over-reacted, even though Dustin doesn't see why what he did horrified me so much.

But when your husband picks up a pair of dirty tighty whiteties off of the bathroom floor and uses it as a tissue, you have no choice but to announce divorce.

I mean....come on. That's probably the most repulsive thing he's ever done and he's gross pretty much all the time. He is a guy, after all. I still can't get over the fact that he actually did that. And he doesn't see anything wrong with what he did!

Don't worry though. I wont divorce him. I don't wanna leave Okinawa.

The Lakeside Collection

I found out about The Lakeside Collection from Dustin's Nana back in November when we were visiting Arizona. I looked through the catalogs she had and was amazed that everything was so cute and cheap. She let me have one of the catalogs and when we moved her and got our computer back, one of the first things I did was order some things for the house. It was verrry cheap. Like this bench I got:

I put it by the front door so when we come in we can sit down and take off our shoes so that we dont track in dirt and grass. Smart, right? Well, it would have been if it wasn't such a piece of crap. It was cheap for a reason. It's made cheaply. Lakeside Collection is like the Wet Seal of home goods. It's pretty terrible. I built this bench which was easy until I realized that the screws didn't actually screw into anything. You just sorta place them into the already made holes. Lame. The whole thing is made of really cheap, flimsy wood so noone is allowed to sit on the bench. It actually bends under the tiniest bit of pressure! Its really bad. Pieces are starting to come off now and that's without us even touching it! But I like the way it looks right now so I'm not getting rid of it just yet.

I feel so used. We also got two 6 foot long towels which we were really excited about. Also cheap. They are in no way absorbent. You try to dry off and they just push the water around on your skin. After I washed them the first time they almost fell completely apart. Now they are covered in little fuzz balls.

The moral of the story is: Don't buy anything from The Lakeside Collection unless you enjoy wasting your money on poop!

Tara's neverending problems

Overreacting again maybe? Maybe. But I'm cranky so dont bother me.

Whats the problemo? you ask. And I wont beat around the bush when I tell you the problem in a single word.

Herpes.

I didnt even notice it coming on! I usually catch my lip being red and irritable before anything has a chance to show up. And then I would Carmex it to death to assure I wouldnt swell up like I'd been stung by a bee. On my lip. While I'm allergic. But it has happened. For the first time in over 2 years. Its kinda funny (but not really cause its yucky) that the last time it happened I didnt have a job either. Or friends. So I didnt really have to worry so much about being seen. The townsfolk wouldve come after me with torches and pitchforks had they known the horror.

I used to suffer from cold sores all the time as a kid for some reason. And we have the pictures to prove it. I think it may have something to do with the fact that I have a terrible habit of using my teeth to peel the skin off my bottom lip. Then bacteria or whatever gets into it or something. Possibly. Except its on my top lip this time. Thats never happened before. All I know is that I feel like a monster. My lip just keeps growing and growing and tomorrow I'm going to wake up to find my lip has taken over half of my face. So gross.

At least this time I'm not as worried about Dustin seeing it. I barely care. But its still only the first day. Who knows how bad it'll get? I hate the fact that I cant kiss him though. :( The last thing I want is for him to get a cold sore just as mine starts to heal. Totally lame.

I thought about posting a picture but I'm far too vain for that. Puh-leese.
